Geoscape Australia CEO resignation
Geoscape Australia CEO, Dan Paull, is leaving the role to start the next chapter in his career after 20 years at the helm.
Chair of the Board of Geoscape Australia, Lynne Robinson, said Dan had made an extraordinary contribution to the company and the geospatial industry.
“We’re immensely grateful to Dan for his wonderful service,” Lynne said. “No one individual has made a greater contribution to this company. While we’re sad to see him go, we’re delighted for him and wish him well in his future role.”

Dan was instrumental in developing our iconic foundation datasets including the Geocoded National Address File (G-NAF), CadLite and Transport & Topography.
In 2016, Dan championed investment in Geoscape Buildings, a world-first that set the standard for continental-scale buildings datasets. He then instigated the establishment of Geoscape Australia’s continuous data processing platform and API services.
While CEO of Geoscape Australia, Dan was twice recognised as the Asia Pacific Spatial Professional of the Year.
A senior leadership transition team will fulfil the responsibilities of the CEO over the coming months, while an executive search process is undertaken. Dan will work with the transition team to ensure a smooth handover of duties.
“Dan leaves Geoscape Australia in a great position for growth, following several years of transformation in the business,” Lynne said. “We remain as committed as ever to building The Digital Australia in collaboration with our partners, customers and data providers.”
