Are you ready?
Get a Geoscape basemap without having to process and visualise entire datasets.

The Maps API (Vector Tiles) makes Geoscape location data accessible. It removes the burden of downloading, hosting and processing complex spatial datasets using specialist GIS tools.

With the new API, you’ll be able to visualise a complete national map of authoritative data. And because it’s a vector tile (not raster), you’ll be able to tailor the way the map looks – or use our pre-built theme.

You can overlay your own data, third-party data or additional Geoscape data to suit your needs.

What’s included in the basemap?​​​​

• Land parcels (cadastre)
• Buildings
• Roads
• Greenspace
• Bodies of water and waterways, and
• Administrative boundaries, including states and suburbs.​​

When is it coming?

We’ll release the Maps API (Vector Tiles) to beta in a couple of weeks.​​​
